Students struggle to find materials that represent them, especially when it comes to relating to books. These materials will be used to help get books that students can connect with. For instance, Dear Justyce will provide my students with the opportunity to see that stories don't just end with one character. As the sequel to Dear Martin, Dear Justyce allows students to see the alternative side to an already terrible experience. As a result, my project is to work to get culturally relevant books into my students hands. These books focus on celebrating individuality so my students can be proud of who they are.
