The carpet will give the students a feeling of safety and comfort and a warm environment while away from home. Most of my students will be returning to face-to-face learning for the first time since the pandemic, so this will encourage peer interaction and help them become comfortable in the classroom setting again. The carpet will be used for circle time, morning meeting, and read alouds. The desk chair will be used as an incentive for our student of the week. The student of the week will get to play the role of the teacher.
