For many students this may be the last art class they ever take, and for others this will be a place where they can be themselves and express who they are freely. In intro to art students are introduces to all the different mediums that are offered at a high level going forward. For their projects they need to experience drawing, painting, ceramics, 3D materials, Metals and Mixed Media while learning the elements and principles of art! Students will have opportunities to explore possible career paths, make connections with their peers, and discover a different way at looking at the world. With the variety of materials requested, students can have a well rounded art experience while they still have the chance. Hopefully this experience will spark their love and passion for art and they will be able to carry the skills they learn throughout their lives. Please help me in my first year of teaching to support my students to the best of my abilities!
