As a first year teacher, I have not been able to purchase as many books as I would have liked to. I started working on my classroom at the end of July, but I will not receive my first paycheck until September. I have a strong desire to fill my classroom library with books that will be meaningful to my students. All of these books are of high interest to my kids, as I chose each one with them in mind. These new books will not only make independent reading more enjoyable. Several of the books chosen were for the purpose of teaching core values such as kindness and growth mindset, which I believe to be very important to instill into young learners.
