Being a brand new teacher it can be hard to provide a whole classroom library for all my students. These books will enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create in my classroom growing library. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind based on popular second graders who told me through personal testimony what they love. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and read something you love & enjoy. These books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading, along with provide flexible seating and a comfortable rug while doing it. Indeed, we will use the rug during all levels of content, morning meetings, and for reading. It will be the center of the heart of the classroom, where we spend most of our days and get the students up moving around while being cozy and comfortable and having a relaxing learning environment.
