It is a fact that student engagement is essential for success. These items were all chosen to help engage my students in the learning process and help provide them with hands on opportunities to learn. Most of my students come from low income homes where English is not the first language spoken. Asking anyone to learn a whole new language is challenging, but imagine how intimidating it is to a child. These items will help them to learn, and reinforce, their English language skills while providing positive and fun interactions with the English language. When students are engaged and enjoying themselves, the learning comes naturally!!
