Our science standards have changed and now include teaching students about weather--how to identify different types of weather patterns, tracking weather, and being able to interpret all of the data from making observations about weather patterns. Students will be using the tools and equipment to actually collect and interpret the data and will be gaining real-life experience in understanding how weather impacts our daily lives. The weather station, weather collecting tools, and balances will all be used on a continual basis throughout the school year so students can keep track of changes in weather patterns--seasonally and impacts from other weather systems.
