Computer coding is one of the fastest growing job markets in the world. I truly believe that an early introduction to coding concepts sets our kids up with skills that will be critical as technology becomes increasingly important in our world. Sphero robots provide a really fun way for kids to bring coding ideas to life. They are highly engaging and most of the time, students don't even realize they are practicing computational thinking. The logic and thinking behind coding and robotics provides applications in so many other areas of learning. My goal as a teacher is to help my kids be good problem solvers, and Sphero robots will provide us with that opportunity.
