Many of my students have requested that we have a guitar club due to the fact that it's a very versatile instrument and allows access to play a wide variety of music. One of the coolest things is to watch a student successfully play one of their favorite songs and make that connection with the material. I am looking to create those connections through an after school guitar club. Many teachers will tell you, that watching a student have the light bulb go on and watch them master material is one of the greatest feelings in the world. Through music and art, the students are acquiring skills that travel with them through the rest of their life regardless of the path the choose to travel.
