All of my students come from diverse backgrounds but one fact has always remained, they need to keep their bellies full in order to learn. In my classroom, we always keep a cupboard full of snacks when hunger strikes. We also allow them to take snacks home on the weekends because they often do not have the option at home. Many of my student shave long journeys home on the bus. By keeping their bellies full and their hearts happy, we can teach them daily! Thank you for you help, we all appreciate the support!
