I am continuously working on developing and refining my students fitness levels to improve coordination, teamwork, social skills, and inspire a love for physical activity with the focus on sensory regulation. A fun way to incorporate movement for my students is with a sensory path. Creating a sensory path will help my students with balance, coordination, and most importantly a way for them to destress. A sensory path is a great way for kids to develop motor skills like balance, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness. The materials in this project will provide a fun outlet to help reduce stress and anxiety. When they are overstimulated in class they can take a break by utilizing the sensory path. The vinyl will be used to label the sensory area with names and positive wording. Paper towels and hand sanitizer will be set up near our sensory path so the students can clean their hands after they have a blast on the sensory path.
