These materials will help to lay the foundation of a positive and impactful classroom for my students. Some of the materials can be taken home as needed and many of the materials are engaging manipulatives that will help keep the students motivated! Working at a Title 1 school means that my students are might not necessarily have the materials they need at home. The educational materials listed include hands-on manipulatives such as play-doh, writing journals, counters, and pencils that will provide the opportunity for my students to remain actively engaged and practice specific skills. Some of the skills the children will be able to work on include letter to sound correspondence, letter formation, one-to-one correspondence, skip-counting by 1s, 5s,and 10s, all while enhancing their fine motor & gross motor skills. I can't wait to to watch my students shine as we work on building a family in our classroom community.
