These materials will be used to engage students to read and apply the lessons learned in the book to their lives. The book ReStart is based on a bully who suffers an accident and has amnesia. He does not understand why everyone is scared of him and/or avoids him. This book will be used to teach the importance of our Character. Many of my students live with trauma and disfunction. Ghost is about a child whose father is in jail for his poor choices. The main character is being raised by a single mother who often works late to provide for him. He loves basketball but a coach notices how well he runs. Eventually, he begins to channel his fear and aggression into a sport he was not even interested in.
