I want to have my students read science based novels and have conversations about the content of the books. I would like them to deepen their understanding about science in the world. I hope to give student a global perspective to the science that is happening in the world as well as their local community. I would like students to be able to own the books, so they can annotate and keep the books and connect the science to their lives. I want to encourage life-long learning and provide ways for my students to engage with content outside of my classroom and the textbook.
