All of our students want to learn to play an instrument. The majority of the students in our school would not be able to provide their own instruments and materials so I am committed to providing each student who is motivated to play a way to do so. Students need an instrument, a book, music, and maintenance materials to keep their instruments playing such as valve oil, slide grease, swabs, reeds, and the like. We run three fundraisers a year to keep the program running and provide students with their materials. By helping students get a method book, you are making it possible for students to be able to participate in the band! Music education and band specifically enhance their academic performance, helps them be part of an ensemble, learn teamwork, and learn to persevere.
