From the minute students come into my classroom, I want them to be able to celebrate themselves. My diverse learners look for art supplies that represent their beautiful skin colors. With the Crayola Colors of the World Skin Tone crayons, markers, and colored pencils anytime students draw pictures of themselves they will be able to accurately represent themselves. One of the first projects we make will be a self portrait of themselves to hang in the classroom, so these supplies are essential to make sure everyone has a positive experience with this project. The books I requested will be used to start out the school year to make sure our classroom is a community. Two of the books, talk about the importance of making mistakes and learning from them.
