I plan to use these materials to create a classroom that makes students feel welcome and allows them to use their imagination and creativity. As a first year Spanish teacher I want to make sure that I have the best tools for my students to embrace their learning and their unique capabilities! I have chosen materials that expose students to culture of Latin America in meaningful ways (Universal Maps Central America, Ahora Spanish Teen Magazine), expose them to new vocabulary and content (The illustrated Mirriam-Webster Spanish Dictionary, Teachers Pay Teachers), and allow them to creatively interact with and practice the language (fadeless paper roll, Plain Easel Pad, black dry erase markers). I also plan to use the lamps to allow for some less harsh lighting in the classroom! I hope the materials I've chosen will be the beginning of many amazing resources for my students to reach this goal!
