This inspired us to think deeply about the different layers of our own identities and how we connect with others. Designing our masks helped us reflect on the ways we belong to various groups, influence others, and are influenced in return.\r\n\r\nA highlight of the project was visiting the museum and meeting a North Carolina artist. Their insights into the creative process were invaluable and inspired us to approach our work with passion and patience. It was an experience that reminded us of the power of art in understanding complex themes.\r\n\r\nWe are grateful for the chance to submit our work to the NCMA's juried exhibition and share our creative interpretations with a wider audience. This project has enriched our artistic abilities and deepened our understanding of interconnectedness.\r\n\r\nThank you again for this wonderful opportunity. We look forward to carrying these lessons forward in the future.","fullyFundedDate":1742923823290,"projectUrl":"project/faces-of-emotion-an-artistic-journey/9003186/","projectTitle":"Faces of Emotion: An Artistic Journey","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McLaughlin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7159660_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y161&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1583443777037","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7159660"},{"teacherId":7159660,"projectId":8775257,"letterContent":"Thank you for supplying our game club with new games. We are putting these games to good use. Over 200 students at EGHS have been able to use these games. The Uno cards have been very popular, and we've seen so many students gather around, strategizing, laughing, and building connections while playing. Your generous donation has made such a significant impact, not only on our students' entertainment but also on their social development and overall well-being.\r\n\r\nThe addition of these games has provided a safe and enjoyable space for students to engage with one another. As you may know, high school can be a time of transition, and having an inclusive and interactive space where students can unwind after a day of classes is invaluable. These games have allowed students to develop teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, all while having fun. Whether it's Uno, Jenga, or the other games we've received, each game has created an opportunity for students to connect in new and meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nOur game club has always strived to be a place where students from different walks of life come together to bond and create lasting memories. Thanks to your donation, we now have even more opportunities to support this mission. In a world where technology often keeps students apart, these games have encouraged face-to-face interactions and fostered a sense of community among students who might not have crossed paths otherwise. It's wonderful to see students laughing, talking, and competing in such a positive and friendly atmosphere.","fullyFundedDate":1726610942935,"projectUrl":"project/giving-games-game-club-eghs/8775257/","projectTitle":"Giving Games.
