Last spring, teachers found themselves hurled into a digital landscape which promised much creativity and innovation, but also demanded endless hours of planning to create resources for their students. Finally, I will be returning to the classroom during a pandemic that continues to dictate our lives. Teachers continue to labor many hours each day to create electronic lessons and resources for their students. I wish to provide my students with the opportunity to return to learning in the classroom with creative and innovative lessons and activities that will get them excited to learn again in a safe but still highly technologically dependent setting. What if, instead of working in our silos, we as teachers could share our best resources while supporting each other? What if our students could get the benefit of selectively curated curricular content? Teachers Pay Teachers offers such a solution with pre-made classroom lessons and activities to meet my curriculum needs. However, there is no budget to fund Teachers Pay Teachers resources. As a teacher who is very comfortable with technology and who is accustomed to continuously creating better iterations every year for her students, this year has been very challenging. I wish to be able to continue to give my best to my students; therefore, I humbly submit this project request and hope my students will have the opportunity to benefit from this collaborative landscape as we continue to take brave new steps towards the horizon of a post-pandemic world.
