My students live in a low socioeconomic area and school is often their safe haven. I want to surprise them with new classroom furniture that makes our room that safe haven that they want and need. Lamp lighting will help our students have a relaxing ambience when they are working quietly on projects and assignments. The cozy chairs will be used as flexible seating and reward seating for students who have demonstrated positive behaviors and have earned to sit in "the special seats." When students feel comfortable, safe, and happy in their learning environment, they want to come to school. I want to provide just that for my students so that they are motivated to show up every day
