I am a teacher in a brand new Autism Specific primary class. When I first arrived there was nothing in it except for a few tables. The children in my class are very tactile and need hands on materials to learn. Creating a system of task boxes and file folder activities for them to learn with, providing them with hands on games and puzzles, and giving them a variety of tools to meet their sensory needs will make our classroom environment friendly, comforting, and most importantly, a place where they can successfully achieve academic goals.

About my class
