These materials will be used for students to read and analyze the graphic novel Persepolis, then students will create a business marketing mini graphic novel in the spirit of Persepolis. This project will utilize English Language Arts CCSS, Career and Technical Standards, and World History content standards. Students will have to think about problems in terms of their own lives and current cultural climate. They will select a topic and create a business marketing plan to address their targeted audience, then create a graphic novel panel, and finally present and display their final products in the Business Academy hallway. This project will be one of the first group projects students will be able to complete since the beginning of the pandemic. Both the CTE teacher and myself are new teachers to Hawaii, so we have no supplies for students to let them do creative projects.
