Two of the most common questions parents ask me are, "What is a good book series for my child to read?" or "How can I get my child interested in reading?" These are great questions. My role as a teacher is to help answer these questions and to do all that I can to encourage my students to develop a love of reading. My goal is to create a classroom library where I can take a student and introduce them to a book series that could potentially be the catalyst to them learning to love reading. It can also be a place I can take parents to show them what book series would be good for their child. I have seen multiple times in my career when a child finds a book series they love and they just take off in their reading. They could be a struggling reader and within a couple of months they've improved exponentially. I hope by adding these engaging book series to my classroom library that I will be able to "Make Reading Fun Again" and introduce my students to the joy a good book can bring.
