These materials will allow students to learn about different cultures in our world, and in our community. Hawaii is made up of so many different people, from different walks of life, and I want to expose my students to as much of this as possible. It can sometimes feel isolating being on an island in the middle of the ocean, but if they can see and hear other stories from around the world, this may inspire them to dream bigger than their homes. The other materials will help with COVID-19 mitigation efforts by providing individual supplies Finally, the flexible seating and fidgets will help students to focus more during instruction since being in a classroom is still a new concept to them.
