Through the hands-on approach, these Japanese Ink Calligraphy Sets will allow students to experience the Japanese Culture and Language in an artistic format. Students will begin their martial arts training in the Ways of the Brush by learning basic stroke and brush techniques, develop their techniques through a sense of mindfulness to demonstrate Japanese characters and finally basic Sumi e Art. As the student finds peace and harmony within themselves, their personal work should demonstrate their fluidity, power, or restraint of power with the brush. In learning the Ways of the Brush, hopefully, students will make a connection with the Japanese Language Writing System and enhance their transition into learning characters and vocabulary.
