The materials I have requested will allow my students to engage and understand the subject of science with hands on activities and literature to provoke thought, instill critical thinking and develop problem solving skills. Along with reading literature and current events. The Next Generation Science Standards outline an excellent path toward teaching science in the classroom but it is a curriculum and materials that my classroom and students lack. The requested materials provide tactile, cooperative, and a collaborative environment that will exhibit the fun and inspiring learning of science. The magazines and journals will develop reading and writing skills.
