I am requesting resources to help my students return to the classroom after a year of pandemic learning. These materials will help children on several levels--with their education, with motivation, and with safety. Some educational materials I've requested include small geared clocks. I have a couple of large geared clocks that students normally share. With pandemic issues, I'd like each child to be able to manipulate clocks individually. I've also requested copies of the book "Dogman" for all of my students. This book has been highly motivational in the past, and I hope that it will motivate them all to love reading. In addition, I've requested items from Teachers Pay Teachers. I've spent a lot of time finding high-quality teacher-created materials on this site, and I'd love the opportunity to use them to help my students. I've also requested prize box items with the primary purpose of bringing fun and motivation into the classroom. Research indicates that children who are more motivated learn more--so these items will ultimately help improve both students' attitudes and achievement. Some safety items include filters and a paper organizer. I believe the filters will make the whole class safer. Through organizing my papers, I can minimize contacts and thereby have a safer classroom.
