Research is a very important skill that I would like to introduce my students to at an early age. Many research sites and tools are aimed towards older audiences; however, PebbleGo is a site that aids in researching and has tools that cater to younger audiences. PebbleGo has modules with information in all learning content areas, and they even offer these modules in Spanish which would be extremely beneficial for my dual-language learners. For our specific project, students will conduct research on a historical landmark and collect facts they learn about it. PebbleGo will allow my students to conduct research on a historical landmark, and it will give me the ability to assess their research skills and social studies learning. Following this project, I will continue to use PebbleGo in my classroom for research skills and learning purposes across all learning content areas. PebbleGo can be used during whole-class instruction as well as during independent and group work times.
