The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students are much needed in our woodworking academy. This elective class is sought after by students in the school and I have up to 25 students in this class that I have to provide materials and supplies. We currently have one drill set to share amongst 25 students and other materials that students have to share. Therefore there is a lot of downtime waiting for tools. The tools are very important so that the kids can continue working. Students create unique wood projects and sell them at the annual market day. They have built stools, crates, picture frames, toolboxes etc. They use their math measuring skills and apply it to their project. They can finally see the connection between math class and real world application. They are engaged throughout the entire class and they get very excited when their project is completed.
