Students will engage in a project that will allow them to trace their ancestry and connect this to African American History. This will be an interdisciplinary project which will include projects in biology, history, and theatre arts. Students in Social Science students will read nonfiction and fiction works the are tied to the Diaspora as well as take an ancestry test. In Biology, they will learn about DNA and genealogy. These projects will help students explore their place in history and the role they will play in shaping their futures.

About my class
