These garden supplies will be utilized on school campus with the hopes of inspiring students' to garden at home. The school and many students who attend are located in food deserts and/or experience food insecurity, actually our entire campus qualifies for the free lunch program. A working knowledge of how things grow and how to grow things will inform students about the food system and empower them to take it back! An added bonus is fresh veggies will spark a conversation to explore the impact of food on health and planet.
