My junior English Language Arts students select a book every quarter to read at home. They create and present beautiful projects to their classmates to review their books. When I help my students choose a book custom-tailored to their interests, they fall in love with reading all over again. Having a classroom library with diverse, high-interest books will empower my students to rekindle their love of reading, to learn more about the world, and to find comfort in a book that is just right for them. This past year, many of my students have been reading eBooks due to ease of access and because they've gotten used to using their screens for everything. I would love to get some physical books into their hands.

About my class
