Sign Language 2 students focus on facial grammar. It is an important part of the language that is lost with the use of regular masks. The students will be in person and need to be safe. Clear Masks provide the best visibility and are hospital safe. The Clear Mask will allow students to truly learn the grammar of American Sign Language by allowing them to see each other clearly. The masks will allow safe interaction and visibility when they practice using the language. Last year their class was entirely on-line. It was difficult to learn a 3-D language in a 2-D environment. There were numerous technical difficulties to practicing together. I want to use this year to provide as much language interaction as possible. The Clear Mask will allow them to do this. We will have a protocol for using the masks in the class, cleaning them and changing them out.
