These materials like labels, stickers and seating will be used in the classroom to create a more effective learning environment that meets the needs of each student. In kindergarten, most of them are learning how to sit for longer periods of time while engaged in an activity. This can be difficult with the standard small desk chairs. Kindergarteners need constant movement and change, which is why I would love for them to have different seating options to keep them comfortable and focused. Flexible seating is crucial in a kindergarten classroom with learners who need constant movement to stay focused. The chairs that move back and forth will mainly be used by my students who need constant movement to stay engaged. The other seating options will be used for comfortable seating around the room in stations. These plastic options are great for cleanliness because they can be easily cleaned after each use. The book bins will be used for each individual student to have their own place where they can keep their books safe. The rest of the book bins will go in our classroom library to provide organization and a safe spot for the many books we love to read. Without organizers, it is difficult to group books together based on topic and have them stay neat. These organizers will help my students find their "just right" book during our reading times.
