Students will have their own set of supplies to use to create maps, storybooks and posters. With COVID-19, sharing art supplies no longer works. Students are craving the tactile sensation of drawing with their hands instead of computers. Students will create illustrations of themselves, special artifacts and the place they immigrated from. These illustrations develop pride in their heritage and show their classroom community the assets they bring with them. Illustrating cultural practices such as crafts or architecture, brings unique cultures to life. Imagine each student creating their own personal history and understanding how they are unique and what they have in common with other World cultures!
