I would like to create a calm corner in my Counseling office, a place where students can relax and unwind. This will also be a safe place for students to come to, when they are struggling to stay focused in their classroom. It provides a safe place where students can practice calming strategies and improve self-regulation. Giving me an option to provide more support to students than might be possible in a classroom. Students have gone through a lot over the past year and in a half, school is a safe haven for most students. I want to provide a space where my students feel comfortable and want to visit often.
