The ukuleles will be used by all grade levels from Kindergarten to 5th grade. It will be a main instrument in school wide programs bringing the community together. A musical instrument such as the ukulele allows for total class participation in a differentiated manner catering to all levels of learning. Playing a musical instrument stimulates neural pathways in the brain allowing for better academic learning. Creating a passion for playing a musical instrument helps incorporate social emotion skills in the classroom and home. Playing ukuleles have a rich tradition from the islands. Playing ukuleles are fun!!
