Middle Schoolers have enough change and responsibility on their plate without having to add their worry about a growling stomach, struggle to focus in class or having clothing emergencies that disrupt their daily learning. By providing snacks, I will be able to help the students fill their stomachs so that they can fill their brain with knowledge that will set them up for success in middle school and beyond. By providing fidgets for home and school the students can utilize the poppers to keep their hands busy while their minds stay engaged. And by providing leggings and t shirts, you are able to allow a student who may have had a clothing accident the opportunity to change clothing and not have to worry about teasing or being embarrassed in front of their peers. By providing snacks, fidgets, and clothing basics for my students you are helping to bridge the gap between physical needs and the learning environment. Ultimately by supporting my students you are supporting our student support services in building relationships with students which allows us opportunities to focus on the emotional, physical and educational well being of the students at out school!
