Technology has become an integral part of our students' learning style and their daily lives. Using technology in the classroom has allowed for instant feedback and investment in student interests. I am thankful that my students have computers to use in the classroom, but there's one thing I really wish for... a computer tablet! Having a tablet as another device would allow me to work with different small groups in the classroom with ease. Students could even use it outdoors when they are doing class projects or activities. Students would love to use the tablet to take photos of their work and document their participation in school/class events and activities. I would not have to rely on using my personal cell phone to do this and then spend extra time having to download the images onto my school laptop. Students would be able to read digital books, play reading games, conduct research, and do presentations using a tablet. They can also play math games and read math related digital books. In addition, students can quickly show and explain their thinking by drawing and writing directly on the device when solving math problems. The possibilities are endless.
