I. Elementary is a brand new school opening this year. As a first year counselor of a new elementary school, supplies for enrichment, learning, and nurturing is needed to provide my students with an area that they feel safe in. My priority as a school counselor is to create a space where young students can talk through emotions and feelings, and find comfort and safety. With supplies such as fidget toys, books, games, and a play tent, students will be able to freely express to me what is going on in their lives so that I may support them and teach them the proper skills for academic achievement. This office and its supplies will benefit the entire PreK-5 school. Emotional regulation is key for student success, and these tools will aid in my goal for an overall thriving school environment.
