My students are eager to learn, grow, and succeed, but do not have the necessary tools for success. We have a new kindergarten classroom that needs materials for young learners. The majority of our school’s students live well below the poverty line and have limited access to books, learning materials, or supplies. Students need to develop a love for learning, and this can be accomplished with appropriate learning supplies that are relevant to meet their academic needs. Children learn best when given hands on materials that engage curiosity and support learning. Our class mission is to provide opportunities to learning through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEAM). Providing my students with a variety of learning materials would make a huge impact on their future. It will provide opportunities for my kindergarten class to explore within their environment and reach their academic potential.
