My project includes very basic classroom supplies that I am needing as a first year special education teacher. These supplies ensure that each student is able to participate and have materials that are needed to start the school year off correctly, as well as remain engaged for its entirety. My students are a colorful group of learners that have the potential to be extraordinary in all that they do. I am requesting classroom basics in order for all my students to be successful. Materials such as pencils, scissors and mini staplers. I am also requesting materials that help students with learning difficulties to retain important information and stay organized. Highlighters, color pencils, paper reinforcer stickers have a major impact on how children learn, absorb and organize information. The addition of color adds a flair to the notes that help them to retain information. These colorful notes engage both sides of their brains which helps in their memory, focus, and retention. They help them to relax and add some excitement to otherwise boring note taking. I am also requesting folders, spirals, Germ-X hand Sanitizer and Lysol Wipes as a daily classroom necessity. Your support would be an amazing resource to help me as a first year teacher.
