Our students will be back in the back in the classroom this year, ready to model, sculpt, shape and throw Ceramics projects. Our topic for this project is around healing from trauma, and finding ways to help yourself and your community to reflect and learn and move forward. Students will have several options to choose from: a Trauma Tile Mosaic, where they create tiles with individual symbols that represent ways of healing; Worry Dolls, where they sculpt figurines; and Comfort Beads. Students will have the option of using air dry clay as well as low fire clay, and painting or glazing to complete their projects.

About my class
