With pencils, map pencils, and spiral notebooks, my students will not only learn geography but also note taking skills that will continue to help them throughout their education. When a child does not have these basic supplies, they feel apart from instead a part of the learning because it is humiliating to ask to "borrow." This situation does not foster growth mind set and causes negative feelings towards school. I cannot afford to buy school supplies for myself much less any students this year. Your help can make a kid feel normal and make a kid feel like they are really part of a positive learning environment.

About my class
