I believe that working hard is a must in school. That being said, there should be a place where students can unwind, even if it is for increments of 15 minutes or so. With us, both teachers and students, going through a pandemic, the stress levels have elevated and have made the high school experience very demanding and difficult. I plan to create such space with these supplies. With these supplies, I plan to make a safe and welcoming space in my classrooms that students may use to unwind and relax whenever it is that they need. I would like to emphasize that I would like to make this available to any of my students whether it's, " Mr., I finished my work early, may I go to the bean bag station?", to myself seeing a student barely being able to keep their eyes open during the lesson, for whatever reason. I believe that in these tough times, my students can greatly benefit from a safe space like this.
