These resources will be used to help me (the school librarian) host a schoolwide Reading Contest that will inspire students to increase their individual literacy, as well as promote a school-wide love for literature and strengthen our community bond. The prize packs will be a way to provide rewards for students individually as they complete the reading contest tasks. The bulletin board materials will be utilized to create an engaging and colorful board where I can highlight class and student achievement throughout our event. Each of the cut-out stars will be used as students achieve their goal and become "STAR READERS."
