We will use the Listening Center, journals, and markers to create a listening and writing center in order for our students to explore stories and learn new vocabulary words. Our students are fully engaged during whole group read aloud and often times re-read books that were read to them. Our students will benefit from being able to pick out the stories they want to read and following along learning to track, learn new vocabulary words and to read fluently. Our hope is for our students to become fully immersed in their stories and try to read them independently. We are also hoping that our students use their journals to draw and write important details from the stories they listen to.

About my class
