Most kids will experience some sort of art class as they grow up, but not all kids will get to experience creating with clay. In my art class, it is my dream to be able to have my students work with clay. Colored pencils, markers, and paint are amazing, but there is nothing quite like sinking your hands into a fresh block of clay! I believe my students deserve to know what that feels like. Clay will also give my students the chance to construct three-dimensional art, which is crucial to their art education. I guarantee if my students get the opportunity to work with clay it will be their favorite project of the year. Please help us get clay and some basic ceramic tools for our classroom. I can't wait to see the excitement in my students when I give them this opportunity!
