Students, especially middle schoolers, love to use manipulatives because they easily get bored. This is to elevate the simple storytelling activity. In Language Arts, one of the common projects is to write a story. Most students lose interest because for sure they have been doing this every year with their Language Arts teacher. This year, I want to make a difference. I want to make this boring activity into an interesting one. Instead of just writing a story, rewriting and submitting, they will use these Lego StoryTales sets to show and interpret their story. They can collaborate with their classmates and build their stories.
