This project is focused on building a Latinx Library for our students. Currently, our school does not have a library and I am working to create one inside my classroom! Our school serves predominately Hispanic/Latino students and it's so important for them to see themselves in meaningful ways through history, art, music, and in this case, literature. Currently, we have lots of books on Latin American history, and my students would absolutely love to have more young adult fiction, historical fiction and memoirs. Having access to these deeply meaningful books would mean the world to them.

About my class
